EMERGENCY KMEAW HELP NEEDED
EMERGENCY KMEAW HELP NEEDED –
02-19-2011,07:43 PM
Sorry post is so long, bear with me guys. I was on 3.41 with a dongle. then i updated to kmeaw 3.55 cfw. md5 matched up. everything was fine. all games were working. perfectly with multiman 1.15.04. i even got the fpsn thing to work. The only game i couldn t get to work was venetica.
so i found a 3.55 fix pkg. where you start game from xmb icon. but game from at start menu. So anyway someone told me to update to multiman 1.16 and use the select + x method to get the game to work. So i did and it didn t work. but then with it mounted from multi with select + x i tried the xmb pkg icon and it worked. dnt know why but whatever it was cool. So i quickly see that the game is trash and scrap it.
so i go to multi to start another game. and it says "Multiman Cannot enable BD-ROM emulator. Functionality may be restricted" so i mount the game anyway and it instead shows the actual disc i have in the tray. So i restart multi still says it. but now none of my games from my ex hdd are showing in the list.
So i figure i ll restore the ps3 quick format and reinstall apps. no go. so then i go to try and reinstall ofw 3.55 then kmeaw again but it wont reinstall. it says kmeaw when it asks me to accept the terms of the firmware. but it gets to like 39 % at a normal pace and then zooms in a sec to 100% but it still says just version 3.55. but the install pkg folder and ps3_games folder are there as if it was cfw. but in multi no ex hdd games. i m getting no error messages. regular game works. but its like i m not jailbroke anymore. Please please someone help me figure this out.

When i was installing waninkoko v2, it did the same got to around 40% and race onto 100, but for me everything still worked fine.
Oh and the multiman 1.16.0 didn't have a payload i think thats what it was anyway and on kmeaw you needed to use lv2 patcher before running multiman

yea i this def all started cause i went to 1.16 for a crap game venetica. But honestly i didn t have to use lvl2 patcher once on any of my 50+ games. believe i was suprised too. does anyone think i maybe need to downgrade back to 3.41 then go back to 3.55 ofw and then to kmeaw.

i wish it was that simple man. i tried my external hdd which i installed it originally with and a black thumb drive as well. tried more than one download of the cfw. md5 matches on both of them. neither work. it get s to like 37% and then zooms to 100% and it says version 3.55 not 3.55 kmeaw. its like my ps3 it screwed all to play venetica 5 mins before i deleted because it s possibly the worst game i played on ps3. oh man. i got online working for like 5 mins before they did this new terms of service thing so i basically updated from all working 3.41 for 5 mins of psn. and not having to power off and on and eject the disc for jb. great. someone help me.

Wow, really guys?
Multiman 1.16 requires BDEMU.PKG
GOOGLE SEARCH IT.
if you formatted your drive for a restore you lost all data on your hdd.
The update behavior is normal to go from 40-100% listing 3.55 instead of kmeaw in system settings is normal, it only says kmeaw when updating. Two extra icons in the have category mean you ARE on CFW.
Lord. install bdemu or multiman 1.15 or earlier or read the multiman thread, I know it's a lot to ask.
Reading the forum also works.

Hahhaa, didn't even notice his issue was 1.16 multiman. I just saw the issue of it zooming through the firmware install (was on my cell). What AmazingLarry said is right. You need the bdemu.pkg file to run backups w/ the newest version of MultiMan.
