I just noticed that. There are heated discussions going on across various sites about this and how to get around it.

May as well put a clarification on the front (well the OP) to say this is not the case as removing it now would be like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted!

RichDevX tweeted it - FYI: the vulnerability was introduced in ps3 fw 2.01 (2.01-3.41 psgroove is possible)

That means that 3.15 would also be able to have a port.
I figure you will see OtherOS enabler before the hacks updated to work on OLDER firmwares.
