Easy?? Newbie Question

I tried to delete Open Manager in the XMB and it became corrupted data. I tried again with the same result. I looked at the file in mutliman and it was an empty folder something like _DEL_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX so I tried to delete it from both within multiman and from FTP no joy. I renamed it broken and tried to delete thinking maybe the filename was too long or something no luck there either.

So now my PS3 is pretty much perfect except that that corrupted data icon bouncing around... anyone know how to get rid of it?

Got it figured out by booting into safe-mode

Hi. Have the same problem, so how did you fix it in safe-mode, what option did you choose? And did all your data get deleted?
