If i downloaded a ps3 game from the internet would the region matter? or does the region only matter for the bluray drive?

But yeah, to be fair, the question doesn't involve any links, or the naming of specific games or guides or anything really. It's just a simple yes or no question and as far as 'piracy' related arguments go, have a look at the flood of topics related to Sony's SDK. Being in possession of Sony's SDK is illegal (at least for us regular users), but we don't stop the discussion of that, do we? We just aren't allowed to post links of where to download it...
