Downgraded from 3.55 to 3.41 (HELP!)
Downgraded from 3.55 to 3.41 (HELP!) –
04-27-2011,04:58 PM
Hi Guys,
I have downgraded from 3.55 to 3.41 successfully.
But the problem is now I cant install any CFW 3.55 or even the OFW 3.55, It gives an error Data Corrupt - 8002F169.
So how do I update to CFW 3.55 or OFW 3.55 ? I have tried 3.55 Waninkoko V2.
I cant get to service mode either with 3.41.
Any help would be apreciated, as I am really stuck ...

Yeah I read that too.
But I cant get into Service mode anymore. I am using the PSbreak v1.2 and I am doing it exactly as last time...

Have you tried to reflash the PSBreak with the service mode files just in case they got corrupted for whatever reason?

I tried reflashing the PSbreak several times but it didnt work. But I reflashed it back to another firmware and now downgrade firmware again it worked. Nice, thanks Chesh !!!
I am installing Waninkoko V2 3.55 with Multiman, do I always need to boot up with my PSbreak so I can see Multiman, or shouldnt I do anything, since I have installed Waninkoko V2 3.55?

I'd personally go with kmeaw 3.55. All the payloads are built into the backup managers now, so there isn't really a need to use Waninkoko. Not to mention, things have to be signed differently for Waninkoko firmware to work right. But, once you get to 3.55 CFW, just install the latest version of Rogero or Multiman and the payload will be included (accept in the fact of MM, you'll need bdemu.pkg. Best way to find it is go into the PS3 Game Backup sub-forum, find the MultiMan sticky thread, click the paperclip on the far right and scroll down till you see bdemu.rar. Extract, put the .pkg on a usb thumbdrive, and install via install packages. You only need to do this once).
Also, go to the URL in my sig to find all the latest versions of the homebrew, etc.

Ok I will be using Kmeaw 3.55 instead then.
I have 2 question:
1. What is a payload? Havent figured that one out yet.
2. When I install Kmeaw 3.55, can I use Multiman? Or is there another manager that is more recommended?
Cheers mate!!

1. Payload is what redirects your backup to the virtual bd-rom drive (hence being able to load backups).
2. You can use any manager you want or all of them. They install into separate folders, so you can have multiple managers installed at once. MultiMan has the most features, but in turn is also the most complicated. Rogero is nice and easy and has most of the same features, but dumbed down a little bit to make it more user friendly. Iris has the ability to load split games from external HDD's (since your external HDD needs to be formatted to FAT32 for the PS3 to work, games with a single file over 4GB have to be split when copied to the external HDD. If backing up from an original disk, the BM (backup manager) will do this for you. If you're copying to your external from a computer (you pirate you), you'll have to use split4g or opensplit to split the file into smaller parts), Gaia is still out there, but drizzt is now working on Iris w/ the original author. I'd personally try MultiMan and Rogero at first to see which one you like. I personally have them all installed, but it's mostly so I can answer everyone's questions if need be.

Ok. Cheers!!
I have installed KMEAW 3.55 with MultiMan. But it says "multiMAN cannot enable BD-ROM emulator. Functionality may be restricted" is this important?

That's what bdemu.pkg is for
