Downgrade and Blu-Ray –
i have a console CECHG nand 256mb fw 3.41 with acid cfw i want to get rid of that cfw since in has no much use... and i kwon if i downgrade the cosole i will lose blu-ray playback. I would like to ask what precoutions should i take to remain with blu-ray playback i have ps3key and e3 card reader and how should i backup dev flash 3 ?
FTP into your console and backup all the dev_flash folders. As for the Acid CFW, did you install it over your flash, or are you using the firmware loader method?
lol i trought i had to do more than just ftp im using on flash (acid)
If you flashed acid over your actual firmware, then you'll have to do a hard drive wipe to get rid of it. If you boot your PS3 into safe mode, there's an option to format your HDD and restore factory settings. When doing this process, it will ask you for the firmware file on a USB stick. Download a copy of 3.41 and put it on the USB in this folder structure: X:\PS3\UPDATE (folders must be capitalized). Just put in the USB stick when it asks for it and your firwmare will be overwritten (mind you, your HDD will be formatted too, so backup whatever you need off of it first).
