Downgrade to 4.1 or 4.0 Just For BD-R Movie Playback?

Hey guys,

Long time listener, first time caller.

I noticed when I updated my PS3 to 4.10 I can no longer play any BD-R isos/rips (via DVDFab). They play fine on my PC using Splash Blu-Ray player.

Can I just revert back to firmware pre-4.0 so I can re-enable this playback? Or is this not an option for me anymore since I'm on 4.10? I don't want to play burned games, since GT5 was a bust I stopped playing games on it and bought a 360. All I want is the BD-R playback to return, so no 3.55 CFW and all that jazz.

I have a fat PS3, model # is: CECHE01

Unfortunately not. The only way to downgrade to a lower firmware is to use something like the e3 flasher.

are you still able to play dvds and games ?
