Does using 3.55 CFW do the "handshake" thing?
Does using 3.55 CFW do the "handshake" thing? –
I have a m17xR3, which as you may be aware, has HDMI-In capability. Hooking up my PS3 to it works when booting using "regular" bootup, but when I use PSJB (either PL3 or Hermes v4355), it won't start up. Specifically, the process never completes on the TI-89, and also the display never displays. It's always worked on a regular monitor, but the R3's HDMI-In is unlike a regular tv/regular computer monitor in that it has to detect a video signal first before letting me switch to the HDMI-In mode (my computer remains "on" and at my Windows7 desktop before the PS3 signal is detected HDMI-In mode---it's not separate from the computer like a tv and waits on a standby/blank/black screen).
So my question is, if I upgrade to CFW (say, 3.55 or something), will I have to deal with this "handshaking" problem that using PSJB/TI-89 is giving me? Like, does it bootup straight-forwardly similar to how we'd boot up using the PS3 on regular fw in non-PSJB mode?
