thanks for the info.. i have learn somethings new today.
but i am sure the hdd i use to copy game to my ps3 has no problem. i use that on my bro's ps3 and the speed are fine.. i copy the games from pc to that hdd and the speed are very fast. so the hdd has no problem.

@lazieboy he is talking about your PS3 hard drive, not the external hard drive. I agree that something may be wrong with your PS3 hard drive hopefully the rebuild database option works for you.
