Does anybody have a PS3 retail box?

I think he's trying to figure out a way to determine firmware version of retail boxes. I don't think you can do that by the outside of retail boxes though. Maybe he's found a way or something.

Lol somebody catches on quick. Didnt really wanna say anything but it is something we are PSJCL.com are looking into. So like Xbox 360 database for 360 drives we want one for PS3 consoles. Xbox site - Xbox 360 Drives - List

I have a slim 250 I just bought a couple of weeks ago. I'll upload some pics tomorrow.

I see the only way of telling consoles apart will be the barcode in the bottom right corner of the top of the box.

LOL even the manufacture date is a code but i think only for Australia and NZ consoles. So my manufacture date code is 8B.

From what iv worked out so far cechl02 is the model number being like 80gb model.

Need to work out those two barcodes. Long shot but remember the date you bought the console? Could help narrow down the info.

I would have no idea because I got it after the slim was released but I wanted a older fat model so had to buy it second hand.

Your older one was manufactured in February, 2008. (in a case you don't know how to decipher the date code)

Thanks mate, Yea I found a guide a while back when I was curious and figured it out.
I just don't know when it was first purchased since it is second hand.
