DOA Maximus AVR USB 1.2?

First off, I apologize if this isn't the right place for this thread (please move accordingly).

I just received both of my Maximus AVR USB 1.2 jb devices and flashed one with the maximus software with absolutely no prob (held in button while plugging in, ran software, chose hex/payload file, flashed, reset, unplugged, jb'd fat ps3). When I went to flash the other one (I have two ps3's that are running homebrew/AsbestOS), the leds wouldn't light up, both of my computers wouldn't recognize the device (win7 x64 & Vista Ultimate x86), and I cannot seem to get it working.

My question is this:
Has anyone else gotten one of these DOA? I've always been impressed with Maximus' build/parts quality (I used to use the 79passkey on my 360 builds), and I've never received any devices DOA. I've contacted the reseller just today and am awaiting a response. If you have received one of these DOA, please respond as I want to make sure that I'm not just derp.

I know that there were a couple of bad ones from just reading around these forums. It seems that the button was cold soldered on some of the units and you could re-check the solder joints yourself, or send it in for replacement.

PS: "Please forgive my english as I'm American..." was one of the funniest things I read all day. Thanks for that.

Thanks for the tip! I'll try and check the traces once I get home and re-solder as necessary...
