Do you update the games via ONLINE DOWNLOAD when you first play them?

After the successful jailbreaking, and the subsequent loading in Open Manager, the PS3 prompts me to download a patch to update the game.

Do you guys do that? Where is this update eventually stored, or the external hdd or internal hdd? Will updating your game via download affect the jailbreaking?

Yes, I always update the games and the updated files go onto your internal HDD under the GAME\"gameID" folder for each specific title.

Hm, and I always download updates via brewology and install them manually from external hdd... but maybe I'll try to do it directly from the console.

I have always updated my games via internet when the game asked too, but I wonder if sony might not find a way to kill the jailbreak thru a game patch.? For that matter, I wonder if it will always remain safe to have your jailbroken ps3 hooked up to the internet at all...

If you ever encounter a problem with an update and your game doesn't launch, just delete the gamedata (this could be cubersome with games that have big installs >_<). But in most cases they should work.

i played uncharted 1 without trophies can i update the game ?????

I think one of the games you DON'T want to update is COD Black Ops, right?
