Just read somewhere that in order to install 3.55 signed PKGs, you need to install Geohot's 3.55 CFW. How do you do this? Via Recovery menu or XMB? And why do you need to do this?

Well there is homebrew made for 3.55 Geohot specifically, for example:
When I had 3.55 Geohot JB on my PS3, I could use Comgenie's Awesome File Manager, but now that I have 3.55 Waninkoko , its supposed to run programs unsigned for 3.41 (from what I've gathered I guess). Comgenie 3.41 installed fine, but it gives me 8001009 error when I try to start it, and the one made for geohots wont even install. I'm guessing if you put geo's patch over the cfw it would allow Comgenie for 3.55 to run again.
With my ranting out of the way, I have NO idea what effect putting geo's patch over waninkoko's cfw will have on your system, and I'm not about to try it...
Ive just tried this and it worked, slim 120 gig first launch batch,
ive not tried to install any 3.55 pkgs yet but i managed to load a rogero 3.41 one and then load gt 5 without disc in drive.
Whereas in multiman which i had previously tested on just wans 3.55 i had to patch and then play from xmb with disc, after installing updates with disc and then setting option in game to not install anything (why bother lol)
I have, but no multiman is freezing when i launch COD OPS![]()
