About LinkBacksThe FAQ says that you do need a disc in the Bluray drive when loading a backup, because it aids compatibility. So is it required or not? My PS3 doesn't have a working Bluray drive, but everything else works fine.

09-19-2010,07:09 PMI would say yes. Im in the same boat with you, im just out of town so i cant tell you positively yes. but from what ive read the disk just spins up as normal, mine doesnt spin so i may have to buy a new used one from games stop...
