Diskless Backups Kmeaw can't boot

Could someone give me a quick guide on booting diskless backups on Kmeaw 3.55. My laser is dead so I can only try diskless and with the amount of different BM and patchs going about I am pretty confused.

So far I have tried GTA episodes from Liberty City from Rogero 7.9a and Gaia from internal and external. It just black screens when I try to launch from app_home.

I also tried NFS:HP from external in these managers using l2-v2.pkg. It goes to boot, asks if I want to do an update, I decline and it black screens although I can hold the PS button and quit game (can't do this in GTA).

Whats my best bet to get the Backups working? Cheers.

EDIT: I also have some corrupted data on my XMB from a version of multiMAN that wouldn't boot. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Make sure you have all original files in your backup. Also check PS Jailbreak Compatibility List - Home for compatibility.

I also have the same problem. I have dead lense so I try to start Killzone 2 discless via Gaia 2.04 and Multiman. I start from app_home and then blackscreens. Once I managed to get to the game update screen but then it froze so I had to hard reboot. Any ideas on this one? Killzone 2 should be working discless, at least thats what I read.

me too with need for speed hot pursuit

My Laser is also dead and I have a similar problem, I load the backup via a loader, PS3 goes back to XMB as it should, I then launch the backup from APP_HOME and my PS3 shows a black screen, then after a few flickers of black screens the PS3 goes back to XMB - no errors or anything.

Any idea? I'm using Kmeaw 3.55, GAIA & Rogero loaders and a external HDD. I once got Assassins creed brotherhood to load, it updated fine etc and played. I tried it again the very same day and it did the same as all my other backups. Can anyone offer any advise or perhapes have any idea why a game which did run now will not?

Does anyone know if a true discless backup loader is something the Devs are aiming for or does 'a disc in the drive' style loaders seem to be the only way for the time being? I guess us guys with dead lasers are just hoping for a PSP style CFW where we have the drive emulated to allow all backups to run.

I also have the same problems, my laser is dead to and I can start the Black Ops, some times it stucks at black screen and I need to hard reset bu some times its get back to xmb.

We need serious help :)

oh...snap! So all the games I have on internal or external that have a modded eboot....I need to replace the eboot or say do a game update if available....otherwise the CFW will not boot the game!?!

Same problem here, think I'll just buy a new laser and install it.

Although I have 20 useless shiny metal JB dongles about to arrive at my door anyday now, I hadn't been paying attention to CFW when I ordered them.

Now with my luck I'll order a new laser then when it's 33,000 feet in the air heading my way I'll find out I no longer need it.
