Yeap, i fall in this error and buyed a fake sisaxis 3.
I recognize it because the leds one and two stay on at sincronization and for little visual details i finded on internet.
But these controls worked under 3.00 firmware, after 3.00, sony as changed the system to not recognize anymore.
My question is obvious, is hard to developers discover and reactivate the suport for these controls? Many people like me as follished by this and have a control like a decoration only. -_-

i have no clue but can you post some more info about this fake controller where did you get it from? does it look different?
yes it would be too hard since it would involve hacking the 3.5 firmware and turn it into CFW. Trust me, if someone could(as of right now) hack firmware 3.5 they would have done it already, for reasons way beyond just enabling counterfeit controllers. Fake controllers are the least of our worries at this point. Some people ARE trying to hack fw 3.5 but it's uncertain if or when they could succeed.Quote:

Please be aware of that controllers they are on ebay and all other auction sites.
To see the differences you should open it, the board is blue instead of green, the battery is really small compared to the original.
the replica does not work with 3.42 and 3.50 firm, with 3.41 works.
When the battery is fully charged you get the message "controller battery is low" every 10 mins, but if you check the bars itīs full!!!
It take a little bit longer to sync.

The replica is very hard to spot, in my DS3 replica the lights dont has the problem reported before.
The box is the same as the original, and it says SONY like an original one.
The controller has 5 screws as the original one, very hard to see if itīs real or not, buy it in a store!!!
Pay a little bit more but buy the original one.
