hey guys, this is the deal.. I downgraded from 3.50 to 3.41, then I realized I lost BD playback.. updated to 3.50 to play GT5.. 3.55 get jailbroken so I updated to OFW 3.55, installed Wutangrza 3.55 CFW + GeoHot + Lv2.pkg
got my friend's PS3 which am sure he never played any Blu Ray movies b4, run my last BD movie (making og MGS4 Japanese Limited Edition) to update the DLRs then I got the DLRs using Multiman.. put it into my DLR using multiman as well... got the message: "Playback BD prohibited, contact..."
so I thought something wrong with the dump.. so I dowgraded to 3.15 to install SAKV1.. got my file and converted it to 2 DLRs.. upgraded to 3.41 and put it using multiman..no go still "Playback BD prohibited, contact...", tried FTP..no good
got my another friend's DLR (never played any MD movie b4).. didn't work as well... so guys am really sad.. did I lost it forever?
Right now am returning my Wutangrza 3.55 CFW + GeoHot + Lv2.pkg
my model: US 60 GIG CECHA01
pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez heeeeelp me :'(

Right now, if you don't know the last BD played on your system, you prolly won't be able to restore playback. You can try finding the dev_flash of someone with a similar model, or better yet ur model, & ftp 2 & 3 after making copies of yours. If you check the front page news thread, in the last few pages JonahUK I believe posted another solution to try that's gotten blu-rays to work on people's ps3s without knowing the last one played. I'm posting from my phone or I'd give you the direct link.
If not, not all hope is lost. I would be shocked if ProjectBluRay or another group didn't eventually release a method that works on all ps3s to fix the problems from downgrading without messing with the DRLs. It'll probably be much more user friendly. Just keep watching these forums or check out their IRC.
Good luck.

Which tool did you use to get your DRLs? Did you use the online page to get it, or the tools from Project Bluray? If ya only tried one, I would try the other one just incase. I remember reading in the thread that some had no luck with one, but for whatever reason the othr worked. It's a long shot, but never know. If your using the online tool, make sure to clear your internet cache before running it. Hopefully sometime soon we won't have to mess around so much to get these working, but I'm grateful for any chance t get it working. I would honestly ask JonahUK for more guidance, I had backed up dev-flash on my BC console so I never got to use either tool.
I hope your having better luck.
