Debug Menu Firmware Update w/o BluRay

Hi All

I have quite the issue!.

Due to a failed update loop my hard disk is no longer detected and therefore cannot format/update anything or even get into any kind of menu other than the debug menu (power button down and second beep).

The next issue is and the biggest is i dont have a blu-ray drive and im sure there is no current workaround for no-bluray checks from the debug menu. My hard disk is fine as ive checked it in a pc and even bought a new one and that wont format either so im sure i need to update firmware/format at the same time.

Does anyone know where i go from here other than buying a new blu-ray drive for it. Its a spare project unit so i didnt want to waste money on another drive for it (my second broke recently).

Any ideas on how to get a workable firmware back on will be great.

You serious? A half hearted search thru the forums would of pointed you towards Blu-Ray bypass firmware, and MFW builder 0.2 which both do what you are asking. Bluray Bypass would be your best bet.

Cheers Chris, ive been searching on and off for for about two weeks and came up with nothing.

I was under the assumption that from debug mode, unless the blu-ray drive is present it wont get to the usb to check for updates.

I dont mind you having a dig as you have just bailed me out, cheers buddy!!.
