Dead PS3, possibile to extract old save?
Dead PS3, possibile to extract old save? –
So guys, my PS3 died a couple of months ago and now i've enough money to buy a new one. Obviously i dont have a backup and my PS3 was repaired twice (last time stay on idle for about 10 mins) so there's no chance to restore it another time and use data transfert.
My question is there's a way to decrypt the HDD and extract savegames?
Thanks in advance
No, not at this time. Maybe with some of the work graf is doing it might be possible, but so far the HDD is encrypted and there's no way to read it on different hardware than the system it was encrypted on.
Well, now i think we can extract saves! I've got a Slim PS3 with 3.55 Kmeaw and 2 HDD, one 500GB and one 60GB both used in my death PS3, any one can explain me how to do all?
Thanks in advance.
As far as I know, only developer tools have been released thus far. It'll be a while before somebody presents a solution for end-users, but I'm sure that somebody's working on one round about now. Odds are, you'll hear on the front page as soon as it becomes public.
Oh, ok. I thought there's already a way to decrypt the HDD trough AsbestOS and Linux.
Guys, i found a backup from september, restored it but some saves (e.g. KZ2) wasn't restored because of the different console, there's a way to extract save from backup and then uncrypt them to restore via USB on the new one?
