    Since we're running entire games off the HDD, it seems pointless and a waste of space

    Just wanna confirm that theres no point in optional data installs? and that optional data installs make no difference in load times?

    If your backups are on an external drive, optional install stuff may make a difference as the internal HDD will be faster.

    If your backups are on the internal drive, optional installs may actually cause a slow down in some instances due to simultaneous reads of the same drive.

    how does this work? is it because when I do a data install, the internal HDD becomes used, whereas if I didnt do a data install, the internal HDD is not used at all?
