Which custom firmware to install? Currently running OFW 3.41

It's been a while since i messed with my PS3, the last time was when the teensy came out.

So I'm new to CFW for the ps3, there seems to be quiet a few options, which CFW should i consider, and why?

Wait for the DH cfw for 3.41?

I am on 3.41 OFW with ps3key....just waiting for the cfw to release and I will use that..

Mainly since I got 100+ games on my ps3.."backupped" like all the others on this forum

and I cannot be arsed to rip all the eboots from my discs if I go to 3.55.

Why aren't you on 3.41 CFW? Hermes4C. No need for dongles you just have to run a PKG each time you turn on. I'm still on it for the exact same reason, too lazy to fix all my eboots.

Wait what's the reason for being on 3.41? Why not just update to 3.55? Is the DH Cfw releasing something specifically for 3.41 users? Sorry I'm not that updated with that firmware really. The reason I ask is because I'm getting a Ps3 with firmware 3.21 soon and I wanted to know. I was gonna go straight to KMEAW 3.55 firmware but now you said this, it's gotten me curious.

with BDEMU2 and multiMAN there is no need to run the Hermes pkg every time as now it's implemented, I believe same goes with Rogero Manager

Edit: I also thought the same implied for the latest Hermes Manager, you might want to look into that

also is it possible that i could brick my ps3 with these CFW, or is that almost next to impossible to brick your PS3, if you follow the directions? Just wondering

there is always a possibility even with OFW, but CFW is just as safe as OFW

Hermes 3.41 is awesome, I've been on it from the start, oh and V4D is the latest out, but you won't need it if you use the BDEMU2 for 3.41. You only need to install it 1 time then you can delete it from the exterior hd or keep it elsewhere for safe keeping.

Thanks for the info, any good tutorials for installing hermes 3.41? if not i will just google it and see what i find.

Also when you say you only need to install it 1 time, and then delete it, what are you referring to exactly? Thanks

Well...I have been on 3.41 long time now, without any type of crash and whatnot.

I read people had some problems with 3.55 and thats why I never upgraded, but nowdays Kmeaw seems to be stable enough, but ripping 100 eboots will suck for me..so I stay on 3.41
