Currently having OFW 3.50 - What should I do?

Hello,

I currently have OFW 3.50 on my PS3 Slim. Should I update to OFW 3.55 and wait till a good CFW comes out or downgrade and jailbreak? Is it guaranteed that EVERY OFW is downgradeable in future? Is OFW 3.55 already downgradeable?

May as well update to 3.55 then Kmeaws CFW, works just as well as 3.41 with dongle. You can still downgrade from there if you feel the need to.

You can install 3.55, it is downgradable. But now you can install CFW 3.55.

Well with Kmeaw + new multiman or gaia you should be fine.
Even if many said that Wainikoko isn't working i have it on my ps3 and is working really good, beware the ps3 version. Anyway doesn't really matter what FW you want to install (better a version with not lv2 patched permanently but not necessary), wanikoko seems it's the worst cause it can brick on some PS£ you should check version. So if you are not so sure is better you update to 3.55 update and then to 3.55CFW Kmeaw.

You're the not the only one.. I say if bluray playback matters to you and playing newer games (granted if you don't have a second ps3), update to 3.55. Personally at this time i would much rather be on 3.41, im not very knowledgeable on whether the emulators on 3.41 would run on these future custom firmware updates.

I wonder will installing CFW 3.55 on my new ps3 slim (comes with OFW 3.50) works? I am having downgrading problems and I heard upgrading it might brick the set! Can anyone confirm if he has successfully install CFW 3.55 and all BMs working including backups on sets CECH 2506B that was manufactured like Oct 2010? At least some news would be helpful! Thanks!
