Creating 3.55 EBOOT.BINs for updated games?
Creating 3.55 EBOOT.BINs for updated games? –
I can't seem to find information anywhere on this. Ol' Google's not returning anything helpful.
I understand it is possible to create a pkg for the 3.55 Geohot/Wutangrza MFW/CFW that will work with updated games.
Can someone elaborate on the extra steps required to do this, in comparison to a game without updates?
I am figuring I would import the EBOOT.BIN from the update, edit it, and make sure to use the same directory as where the update is located ("/dev_hdd0/game/[ID]", typically). I am just not too sure.
If anyone must know, I am thinking of creating Uncharted 1 PKG which includes the update in it.
Thanks in advance,

You miss 1 thing, all EBOOTs from updates are NPDRM-encrypted, so that we cant do a thing with them now, as we cant decrypt npdrm files. graf_chokolo made some progress with this though, but thats all.
Ah, I was wondering what the NPDRM had to do with EBOOTs.
Thanks for the info. I'll keep paying attention to the scene, then.
i am wondering the same, i'd like to play games off my external hard drive instead of copying each one to the internal drive..
i'm assuming i need to modify the eboot to be dev/usb0006/***
I thought EBOOTs won't work for external devices? I don't know exactly, though. Let me know if you're successful. I may want to try myself. I'd like not to have to keep them on the internal drive.
