Corrupted data fix?.. –
01-22-2011,09:44 AM
Ok so last night i decided to upgrade my phat 60gig to CFW 3.55 said and done and it works perfect, but i messed up when i decided to remove the old Backup manager as it simply don't work anymore.
I pressed delete and then it just stood there doing nothing it seemed so after a while i restarted the ps3, thing is that it started deleting the LUAN12345 folder with all my games on it, didn't bother me though but after deleting it once more (as i realised what it actually had been doing) i'm now left with a "corrupted data" icon in the game folder, I figure it's becouse I restarted the ps3 before it was done...
Is there any way to remove it without reformating the harddrive?..

be careful, backup everything u really need first!
i had the exact problem yesterday (removed a bm and got corrupted icon) and did restore file system, it rebooted and then told me an error occurred during hte restore opertation and needs to format my drive now -.- selecting no simply shows "cannot start. the correct hard disk was not found" and i cant get back into xmb with any way to backup my stuff, so be careful with this if u dont have a backup. might just get unlucky like me
