I think Geohot isn't the only person knows the real npdrm key. Failoverflows do too, right? Why don't they release it for homebrew purpose? I want a media center app that runs 1080 mkv files, while still be able to buy games from PSN.

Also, there is no real purpose of having 3.56…no new features and no games use it….KillZone 3 and MvsC 3 work on 3.55 (No, I do NOT have these titles…I did NOT pirate or obtain them illegally or anything, so don't go thinking I downloaded anything, these are just what I have read in other forums). We have a method of getting on PSN in 3.55 so there really is no reason why we should even have any CFW on 3.56….its kinda like 3.50…sure, we had a little time period where we couldn't play the newer games that were released but we never did have a CFW for 3.50, it was 3.41 JB, 3.50 downgrader, 3.55 CFW and then 3.41 CFW. So, until 3.60 comes out, there is no need to even worry about a CFW for 3.56 as it serves no function at all……

I wonder how long this 3.55 on PSN thing will last, hopefully it will be much harder for Sony to stop it, I personally don't care for PSN, but hopefully it will stop some of the "Can we access PSN on 3.55 CFW?" questions. Its actually amazing at how many people ask about PSN on 3.55 when it's blocked and then how FAST those questions stop being asked once a work around has been fixed….

I noticed there is an "install package files" folder on my kiosk ps3 fw 3.56. It doesnt show up in demo mode... but when i unlock it, an "install package files" folder appears under network settings.

What's that all about?

I received this kiosk ps3 today from e-bay.

doubt that you will be able to install anything, but you never know
