It was March 2011 the last time I played my PS3 (I just got back from overseas and got my PS3 out of storage) I had used Kmeaw 3.55, used multiman to boot back-ups, and blackbox ftp to put backups from PC > Ps3. There was no booting 3.60+ fw games. I understand substantial progress has been made since I've been away. Would anyone mind pointing me to threads or tutorials on what I can do to modernize my ps3 to the current scene? I mostly want to play backups (madden 2013, other newer games) --

Well, everything was a doust and cloud, then there is a bigbang

    Welcomeback mate...
There is 3 or more new/newer CFW (4.21 and 4.30's) is around and lot of patches for almost all of the games.
I suggest you to (like I suggested anyone) Rebug 3.55.3 CFW + Latest Multiman + BDemu2.pkg + SEN Enabler 4.31
With them you'll have a PSN and latest games (with patches of course)...
Also, delete the old blackbox please, new Multiman does all of things for you...
And if you using old multiman, don't try to update, some of peoples having problems for doing that.
Just delete it, download and install full version...
    You're gonna love it...

If you wanna go up newer CFW, go for it but don't forget this :
"If you wanna update again, you have to downgrade your new CFW to 3.55"

    So, thats all.
Have some research for new games and patches.
    Good luck...

I've tried all the newer firmwares, I recommend Rogero 4.30 v2, you don't have to patch any new games, psn is working, it's stable, just make sure your multiman is up to date before you install.. Get the package app too as the install pkg was removed in 430 firmware. Showtime has became great also.. It has this plugin called navi x, your Gonna want that.
