COD: BO DEBUG Patches Released - Contains 3.50 in PARAM.SFO

Well this is quite surprising, DEBUG patches have already hit for all regions of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops game.

Interestingly, the patches contain v3.50 as the firmware requirement to play. However noone knows if the same can be said for the unpatched/retail version.

Hopefully these DEBUG updates along with modified PARAM.SFOs will aid in getting the game to run in backup managers!

This is exactly why I prefer the XBOX 360 over the PS3. This game going to be all about playing online...so JB systems are going to be worthless for this game, even if a param.sfo patch works. So it seems people will have 1 of three choices...1 - Upgrade and ditch the whole JB thing; 2 - Pass this game up; 3 - Get a 360 and all these problems are solved.

what do you mean with 3? I owned a 360 before I switched to ps3 and you can't play on xbl with your drive modded. Well, actually I did it and got banned, as everybody will... at some time. Don't tell me about some stealth shit or light touch bs as the next ban-wave will come for sure...

Ok you claim to know what will happen. When did you get banned? The huge ban wave last year? You know there was no majour ban waves before yeah? Last majour one was 3 years before that before it was stealthed. The bans inbetween were due to idiots going online 3 weeks with a game before release.

LT is a whole new firmware we don't know where it will take us but Microsoft have released new security in the latest update to stop backed up games working.

I was just upset by "Get a 360 and all these problems are solved".
I do not claim to know what will happen and I was not surprised by getting banned. It's like that "if you play with fire, you might get burned" thing. I was enjoying it for the time it worked. To answer your question, yes it was during the wave last year. I was on iextreme, don't know which version, and was only playing original games on xbl.
The new security you were talking about is what made me instantly think "no, not all problems would be solved." And the new checks in the kinect-dash make it highly plausible that a new wave is coming.

I agree with the get an xbox360 remark no where did it mention a modded one. It would be cheaper to get a xbox than a 2nd PS3 and also you could then perchase xbox exclusive games as in halo reach & Fable 3 if you wanted. I wont debate which online service is better mines the XBOX 360 not for no technical reason just most my real life friends & friends of friends that live local have a 360 and this for me is better than playing with randoms.
