    Hey Guys,

    I have a JB 3.55 and a large HD in it. I will probably never fill it. Is there an easy way to clone it onto a smaller HD without any problems?

    thx.

    Yes there is. You can use the PS3's backup & restore feature. You just need ANOTHER type of storage that is greater then the amount of space consumed currently by the ps3, plus a little extra. So you would need a total of 3 HDD.
    The 'big' one already in the PS3.
    The 'small' one you want to 'upgrade' to.
    And one you would need to hold the backup/restore. (Doesn't necessarily need to be a hard drive, but if you have some other type of removable media that could hold it all, that's fine too.)

    1.) Delete unnecessary things from the PS3 to save space and speed up the backup/restore.
    2.) Back up your PS3 by going to settings->system settings->backup/restore
    3.) Take out your HDD from the PS3 and place the one you want to upgrade to in.
    4.) Let it format/ if necessary reinstall the firmware you were previousally on.
    5.) Restore your PS3 by going to settings->system settings->backup/restore

    And there! Its a very long process, not really sure if there's a simpler way or if this is. But 've always done this whenever i had to downgrade/upgrade my ps3

    Thanks! That helps.

    After I setup the new HD, would I have to re-jailbreak and manually move any additional multiman related material?

    I'm assuming you have CFW installed right now, correct? Well if you do, you could reinstall CFW before or after you restore
