Checking file system loop
I was on Rogero 4.30 V 2.03. All my backups played fine
I updated to Rogero 4.46 V1.00 and Multiman Multiman 4.46.01 CEX. Ally my backups played fine then as well including new games
I installed my PSN games fine which were below 4gb. Then recently I tried installing a 6.5 gb PSN game. I split the single 6.5gb file on my PC using PS3 Splitter into two using 666** extension and copied it in the hdd0/packages/gamenamefolder/ using an external HDD
Multiman merged the split files into one in the hdd0/packages/gamenamefolder/
Then I could not see the pkg file in the Install package in XMB
So when to the location of hdd0/packages/gamenamefolder/ using Multiman's File Manager
Double clicked the 6.5gb and MM asked if you to quit to XMB to install. Which I said yes
I saw two files of the same name. I clicked on one of them. It started installing which took about 30 minutes. After it completed installation, I hit the circle button to go back. I saw the game icon in xmb but at that point it froze. I could neither shut down my PS3 using the controller or the Power button on the PS3. So I had to manually switch off power to the PS3
Now I am stuck in a loop of the "File system may be corrupt. Checking file system. Do you want to restore? If I choose ok, it goes back to the same message. If I choose back, it checks the file system, then the Rogero screen comes up and again goes back to the "File system may be corrupt. Checking file system. Do you want to restore?'. Tried several times but get the same "Checking file system..............". It is in a loop. How do I rectify this?
And is the 16mb NOR dump from the multiman, same as the NOR dump from the E3 flasher?
Thanks for your replies:
Tried rebuild database. Did not work either. Same loop
Should I try to restore my PS3 system? Want to check before doing that as I am okay with deleting all data on HDD if it works, but have heard that it can semi-brick/ perma-brick the console?
