Is there anything in the works that can change the PS3's default green loading color? Just plan and simple black would be great!! I looked through the forums but I couldn't find anything on this so I figured I would ask.

You can change the background color under the Theme section in System Settings, but XMB will always start up green before fading to your selected color. I don't understand why the customization options suck so hard, but there you go.
Yeah thats what im saying. Black would be understandable but ugly ass green ?
not to worry, on March 15 it will change into gorgeous pink!
this one bothers me as well...
where is that setting stored? i wanna change the hell out of it.
I think there is a theme file in the flash, I forget exactly where but I believe it's named "01.p3t"
I haven't tried to open it yet, depending on what it is, it could be dangerous to modify. Like if it contains some kind of minimal theme for recovery mode, you could be pretty much screwed if you break it.
--EDIT the file I'm talking about is dev_flash/vsh/resource/theme/01.p3t, but it's only the pre-installed "air paint" theme
At least people are figuring out a way, I am NOT a programmer but this doesn't sound too crazy hard... considering the other emulation and hacks I see on here on a daily basis.
Messing with themes is risky business! Be careful...
