CFW to OFW Anyone been console banned?

Hi guys. Can someone please tell me if Sony are banning consoles that were jailbroken? If I upgrade from 3.55 to the latest legit firmware, what are the chances my console will be banned? I have had it hooked up to the internet for months while being jailbroken, I have hardly used it though.

I plan to sell my console tomorrow to GAME. I'm hoping they don't bother checking if it's banned, by updating the FW.

I dont recall Sony banning consoles that had a CFW , they did bann people (psn accounts i think) whom used CFW to cheat in games online while it was still possible to access PSN with CFW.

Well if you are worried , delete everything on the harddrive and update to OFW 3.55 and then update from there to latest OFW, but are "GAME" paying you well for this jailbreakable system?

Otherwise I am sure others would be glad to pay you more for a jailbreakable console if you put it up on auction and stated that it is 3.55 firmware on it

The easily jailbreakable ps3´s are getting more rare and rare by the day for diffrent reason , and it would be a shame if you sold it to someone whom just would slap the latest OFW on it and "Not Pay" you well enough for it , usually in my experience "stores" will not pay you very well for a 2nd hand machine , while other people will , as stores are in for the profit , they usually want to pay you as little as possible for your machine , so they can then sell it for a higher price.

3.55 ps3´s can give people alot of joy , for example I am loving it that I can enjoy my emulators on it , as I am a huge fan of several games, I still bought them in Japanese, that where never released in English for the Snes. And then with fan translations of the games I could enjoy them on my ps3 in english with a brand new controller , as my snes controllers have been dead for quite some time and new ones arent cheap where I live (if you can find them)

Yep, you'll get at least double the cash at auction than you would get at any game store. Stores like game are good for buying second hand stuff but selling to any of them is a total ripoff.
