I just bought a new PS3 which came with 3.55 FW. Since there are quite a few different CFW's which do you guys recommend for homebrew compatibility, backup compatibility, and stability?
Thanks in Advanced.

kmeaw cfw.

My experience with kmeaw has also been excellent.
What do you think of PS3ita and Naima CFW compared to kmeaw?
Kmeaw is the "standard", kinda. PS3ita and Naima might be better if you are trying to get online, but as for compatability, you should stick with Kmeaw.
Check out the link in my sig... you will find everything you need for 3.55!!!

ok thanks guys i will try this tonite. also if 3.55 seems to be the best one why do people want to downgrade to 3.41????
Various homebrew apps are currently only compatible or work better with 3.41. Those apps are the exceptions rather than the rule, though, at least from what I've seen. And I think there's a bit more work involved to backup games to your hdd and play them successfully if you're using 3.41 than with 3.55. Somebody else around here could probably elaborate on all of this more than me.
I suggest you stay with 3.55 kmeaw.
The discless support is much better in 3.41 as well for some reason but it should be said you can never try that CFW without a brick. If your deck came with 3.55 you can never go below that ever without an expensive paperweight.
