CEX & DEX Confusion

I might be the stupidest person but as far as I know . I am on CEX , using KMEAW 3.55

But what is the difference between CEX and DEX ?

If you're unsure then you're on CEX. Cex is a retail console that everyone can go down to walmart or gamestop and buy. DEX is a developer's console that normally cost into the thousands of dollars if you could find one. We were able to convert retail consoles to developer consoles by modifying the flash. With it you can play any 4.21 game from original disc, you can play any 3.70+ game backup that has an update from a specially formatted hard drive. There's actually quite a bit you can do with it if you have some knowledge of how it works

Taking advantage of this topic I have a few questions of my own, what are the requirements to turn a Cex console to Dex? (You see my problem is that a friend a mine borrowed my ps3 and upgraded it to 3.72 or something along those lines).

You need to have a valid flash dump and 3.55 OtherOS++ installed

Oh I see, thanks for the info, is there a guide for doing that? I am sorry for aking too much and for taking so long to answer I been busy trying to get my ps3 back :I

CEX 3.55 cfw --> DEX 3.55+ is possible

CEX 3.72 fw (or something along those lines) to DEX not possible

You have to downgrade first..
