Could we disable this feature maybe?
Doesn't look like we have much control in any of this, compared to with the wii. (not it that matters.)
Just forget about PSN. Going there with a hacked console was a dickmove anyway.
If you want to play backus it's ok, but jumping around on PSN is wrong.
Given the fact that we can modify the firmware binaries, how hard would it be to force/emulate/spoof the data sent to be clear of any evidence of homebrew or modified firmware code? Elite reverse engineering?
Can't handle more cheese
How is running scripts on our PS3's we payed for in a hidden manner Legal?
It's in the EULA and they can just say that you agreed to it when you installed the new ofw.

DNS, Safe at all?
I think it's a matter of Sony doing whatever they want because nobody is stopping them. To allow a console that was originally dubbed by Sony as a PC to pay less taxes and tarrifs to install remote access is absurd. To force this remote access to continue to allow online play is insane and I'll illustrate. If Microsoft forced an update to allow them remote access to your PC at any given time or they would discontinue internet support we would have another anti trust suit against MS. You can say well Sony is doing what they can to combat piracy. It needs to be addressed that Windows is plauged with bootleg copies. Everyone runs windows (except on OtherOS) but how many people are running a legit copy? So why is it ok for Sony when another corporation cannot? My belief is it is because it is a video game and people just don't give it the importance for privacy concerns that they give it to computer, mostly because video games are played by children. But I feel it important to point out that some of our most severly punished actions are those against children, because we feel as a society that children need extra protections because they are not capable of taking care of themselves. Someone needs to contact their congress man and remind him that children are a protected group, and their rights are being violated by this.
God made me do it
Time to sue them for a violation of our privacy and rights.....This is a clear IM gonna spy on you eula......Totally illegal..especially since they dont own the system....I hope they lose all of these lawsuits so the message is sent that we will not tolerate this crap!
