I thought my console was already updated to 3.56, but installing my fathers Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 prompted me to install 3.56.
Now that gave me a smile because I knew I wasn't locked out, so I stopped the installation and thought about giving cfw's a try.
The problem is, I only want to use it for emulators and stuff, not for pirated games and the console is also shared with someone who isn't even able to install a game. Which raised two questions.
1. As I only play legally bought games, will it be more complicated to use them with the cfw? I mean, will it differ from the usual insert and play?
2. As the game mentioned above requires 3.56, will it work? I've seen patches for other games like Dragon Age, but is it even possible to use these with the legal version, or would I need to dump the bd?
It's just, I don't think my father would be able to use a game manager even if it's super simple. It deviates from the "usual path".
There is no dual boot yet if I'm not mistaken?! But even if there would be such, the 3.56 requirement would still be a problem, wouldn't it? So there is no chance for a default boot of the ofw and a second one which allows me to use homebrew stuff.
