    Hi there
Today, I've installed CFW 3.41 Rebug, but I realized that it can't launch back up manager and application seemed to boot on it. now, I want just to roll back to OFW 3.41, but the system couldn't find the update file even in recovery mode. that sucks
I know where to put the update file
    X:PS3/UPDATE/
can I burn the update file to a DVD instead and update?
    please help

Make sure the file it's PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP as is. No E at the end of UPDAT, and only caps. I hope it works.

I hope you're doing it in recovery and not service mode.

Format your USB key (to FAT32), give it about 10-20 seconds after plugging it in and try it then (from XMB) and back out and try again if it doesn't work (seems obvious, but works when mine doesn't find it).

Make sure to try another USB port too.

Otherwise use FreeFlash / Mt. Alejandros + Comegenie's FM to install the backup you obviously made of your Dev_flash before installing a CFW.

You are using the Rebug payloads, and not the original 3.41 payloads, right?

Everything works in rebug, you just need the modded payload.

if you use a jailbreaker then you must get the downgrade bin on it, then start select then console goes out the lv1 and the pup on youre stick, after 10 minutes goes out then , delete the things of stick and put the other lv1 on the stick, then after 10 seconds console goes of and its done

File name: bdb3.41 and3.50.rar File size: 669.41 MB

    hope it helps

so you have the downgrade bin for youre ps3key, put the ps3key in youre pc, PS3Key Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) , you can use this site if youre ps3key is original and you have the package it came with, there is a yellow sticker with a number to verify its real.

do you use # PS3Key Firmware (Atmel) or the # PS3Key Firmware (Silabs)?

File name: ps3key_silabs_jig.AnpaRnhRHW0_sMLu.rar File size: 18.15 KB <-- this is the original downgrade bin for the ps3key, cut the original of the ps3key, store it somewhere on youre pc as backup ( you need it to put it back later ) and put the downgrade bin back on ps3key.
put the ps3key in youre console ( power of the console ) turn it on , on button then right away the eject button, then it starts to read the ps3key and after 10 seconds the console turns off and its in recovery mode, then put on a empty usbstick ( fat32) the Lv2diag.self FILE 1 on the usb stick and the PS3UPDAT.PUP both on the root of the usbstick, put it back in youre console, and turn him on, then after 10 seconds the console goes out, then empty the usbstick, and put the Lv2diag.self FILE 2 on the root of youre usbstick, ( only the file, not the folder ), put it back in console and turn it on , after 10 seconds console must turn off, then remove the usbstick and check of it works, thats it, test it with differend firmware http://psx-scene.com/forums/f149/blu...-55-cfw-74794/ (BluRay Drive bypass 3.55 CFW) read my post there.

dont forget to put the other bin back on youre ps3key File name: ps3key_45_Silabs.rar File size: 18.24 KB

this is the latest update for youre ps3key, if you use then remove the 2 files of the key and put this 2 back .

    hope this helps you.

    Requirements

    * PS3 Console (fat or slim)
    * Consule (firmware) version 3.41 only
    * Remove all discs from the drive
    * Do not connect any devices to the console via USB
    * IMPORTANT: The console must be completely switched off before using PS3Key. For fat versions, use the switch at the rear. For slim versions, simply remove the power cable. This is extremely important for the process to work correctly when you start the console.

    Operation

Once the power to your console is completely disconnected:

    * Insert PS3Key into a USB port on the PS3.
    * Start up the PS3 and press the EJECT button.
    * The LED (which should have been red initially) will change to blue.
    * If the above process worked, there will be a link to “Install Package File” in the game menu.

    Installing the Backup Manager

You only need to install the backup manager once, using the following instructions:

    * Download and add the .pkg file to a USB flash drive using your PC.
    * Connect the USB flash drive to your PS3 and then go to the game menu, followed by “Install Package File” and select the .pkg file.
    * Once it is installed, you will see the Backup Manager directly in the Game Menu.
