    9 times out of 10, it means your laser is dead.

    Try a audio cd and a normal dvd movie, and see if those work.

    Blu-ray lasers are like a lightblub, you never know the moment they are just going to burn out on you. - but on average you should be able to get at least 2 years of daily usage on them. -- But sadly 100% of single-eye lasers on the PS3 will burn-out that is a fact.

    Today I received new laser unit, replaced it and it works!!
