Cant get into recovery mode (FAT PS3)

Hi everyone,
Today I tried to install the CFW 4.30 on my FAT PS3 which is on Rogero PSN online CFW (which was released to access PSN without any modifications to the files)
I was able to get into recovery mode when I was in CFW 3.55KMEAW but now I just cant get into the recovery mode with this Rogero PSN CFW.
When I press and hold the power button nothing happens. It just stays as nothing happened. I have no disc in ROM or no USB devices plugged in.

So my question is, is it okay to just go straight to the 4.30CFW without installing 3.55 V3.7?

here are the steps to enter recovery mode just incase:

Step 1:
Turn off your Playstation 3.

Step 2:
Hold the power button down. The system will turn on and turn off once again.

Step 3:
Once the system has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps

Step 4:
When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.

Step 5:
You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button

Step 6:
The Recovery Menu will pop up.

Im on Rogero PSN CFW thing
When I try to do the 2nd step I keep holding the button but the PS3 doesnt turn off. It just goes to the XMB

Need more specifics. There is Rogero 4.21 and 4.30. You could mean Rogero 3.55 with a PSN spoof for all we know.

did you try installling again another 3.55 CFW?

i know there is a special pkg that can allow you to boot directly to recovery, maybe you could try that. I think i saw the link to that pkg in the tutorial to install Rogero 4.30 . Ist a pkg that you install and it will create an icon on your games directory, from there you can force the ps3 to reboot directly to recovery, try that.

Rebug toolbox 2.0 can't boot directly to recovery on FAT, i've tried it already many times. I'm have the same problem as you, i want to go back OFW 3.55 before to Rebug 3.55.3 REX edition. i think there is some problem inside rogero CFW v3.6
