Why on earth would you do this when you can do it directly from the PS3 (onto an external hard drive, if you wish)?

Anyways I don't believe it is possible to rip from a laptop's Bluray drive

No one honestly backs up games for convenience... come on, if anything it is less convenient having to use the dongle to boot it up every time and then take about 5 hours to back up one game!

not convienence, but it saves your lazer, and decreases load times, and peronally I actually like not having to search my disks first

reason i back up from previous post cant be bothered to edit

"I am guessing a "majority" of people who are getting irate just want this to copy games they don't own. I have access to all the game i'm looking to back-up as i own them or my brother in the next room does. This for me just makes life easier if we wanna play lan games we don't both have to buy a copy also games were co-op isn't available on one console forcing you to have 2 consoles and 2 copies of the game. Mine could arrive now or in a months time and probably wouldn't make much of a difference. I will still be buying retail games as one PS3 will be for online play. "
