@ravihpa, you first need to go to network settings on your PS3 and choose a wired connection with manual settings.
Basically, you have to input the ip address for you PS3 AND your pc yourself it must be something with 192.168.x.x where the x are single digits - use amp2006 example.
Subnet mask should remain 255:255:255:0 for both
Default Router (Gateway) should be the ip address of what you're connecting to i.e. (as per amp2006's suggestion), you PS3's ip is 192.168.0.2 then that is what you input in for Default Router on you pc and if your PC's ip is 192.168.0.1 then that is the Default Router input on you PS3.
Primary DNS you have to put something in to go to the next part of the manual set up wizard so just put - 10.1.1.1. Secondary DNS you can just leave blank.
I have had problems too and for a long time but I got there and you will too with perserverance. Also, I found that Blackbox FTP and Filezilla are not necessarily the best for each other. See what works for you.
If you're still not sure - search these forums - all the info's there.
