Can you downgrade below 3.15? –

Is it possible to downgrade below 3.15 FW? I don't see much mention of any firmwares below 3.15 except in a few cases where people are using debug machines.
I have read that cinavia was implemented in FW 3.10 and just wondered if that may have had something to do with not being able to downgrade below 3.15
I also read about e-fuses and wondered if maybe the updates contained within 3.15 blew and e-fuse preventing us from going below that firmware.
I read a ton of posts and saw no mention of anyone jailbreaking a PS3 below 3.15, or I guess I should say I haven't seen any compiled hexes for a FW below 3.15
Is it possible do you know to downgrade to 2.60 on the slim or even lower on the phat and still jailbreak the console?
Can I assume I would need a hex specifically compiled for the FW version I downgrade to?

I know there is a jailbreak for 3.01 with a TI-84+ or TI-89 calculator. I'm not too sure about the other devices though.
PL3 covers all the way down to 2.60 the last time I checked. Just got to compile it yourself.
AFAIK, it only goes down to 2.76. That was apparently the firmware for launch Slims. I am not sure how accurate that is though. I just read about it in KaKaRoTo's git repo.
I really hate the Cinavia crap. It turned my $400 PS3 into a poor choice as a media center without my knowing it. I could have built a HTPC for about that price.
Are we sure we have to go below 3.10 to get rid of it?

Yes, I read a ton of forums where it listed out the different items included in each update and Cinavia was listed under 3.10
I bought that Seagate media player and it plays them great via wired network or off a portable hard drive and you don't have to patch the DTS track to keep it. $79.99 at newegg, the older model also works fine and is going for $49.99
Plays .mkv's also without muuxing them into another container format that the PS3 will play.
There are only a handful of confirmed titles with cinavia so far but I am sure it will get worse. (The Other Guys, The Karate Kid, Salt)
