can a PIC1.PNG imge be added to a game folder

as i'm using multiman and some games have no PIC1.PNG in the game folder of some backed up games, as this makes the theme look quite patchy as there are blank images. could i just add one to the game folder without causing any issues to the game itself. i understand that they have to be a certain size and res.........................sudeki300
