one thing i dont like bout awesome file manager (didnt use it yet but looked at post) is that u gota put the bles number in wish u could put the game name

^unless you changed the names of your backups, for example, changing blesxxx to (insert-game-title-here), you should have no problem finding the game titles. if its a major pet-peeve, there are other things you could try. did you look into psx store?

Game Updates can be done by downloading Awesome Update Finder (or something like that), you don't even have to take your PS3 online, and besides, its slow to download off the PS3…only convenient thing about letting the PS3 do it is it installs automatically after downloading. If you download the update off your computer, you install it via "Install Package Files" like its a Backup Manager or any other home-brew...
even updating to OFW doesn't protect you 100%
call up customer service. They never confirmed that i would not be banned if i updated to OFW
It is quite obvious they were trained not to confirm safety after updating to OFW..but rather just suggest safety
