can i still get banned if i dont login to psn

I think that in Sony mind, you should get 3.56 and stop using homebrews. They can redefine PSN as they want, even saying that using the internet from your ps3 with your browser is using the Playstation Network...[card] lol

sorry, i see what you meant now. to be honest, im not 100% but it makes sense that psn wouldnt be required for those purposes. you can test that at anytime if you want to. before cfw i was auto-logged in all the time, so i couldnt say. now days i just download them via pc.

ps3 phones home when connected to the internet...so yes they can "theoretically" ban you even when not signed on to PSN

i use awesome update finder. i think theres something called psx store that you might want to try also.

As my signature says…there is no 100% proven way to prevent bannings from PSN…Sony hasn't started their bans yet (Despite people getting banned from CoD Black Ops, that's Activision's doing since they are cheating pussies that got caught cheating…),

Game Updates can be done by downloading Awesome Update Finder (or something like that), you don't even have to take your PS3 online, and besides, its slow to download off the PS3…only convenient thing about letting the PS3 do it is it installs automatically after downloading. If you download the update off your computer, you install it via "Install Package Files" like its a Backup Manager or any other home-brew...

I also have a new console...CFW my unit by KmEAW...played back up games like Marvel vs. Capcom 3...when game start it updates files automatically...can i still be banned? i dont have psn account and never tried going on line.
