I have a Phat PS3 that that was downgraded via a P3 flasher (ebay seller offering service), The system never got above 3.60 at that point but, still needed to be downgraded to be able to use a CFW. I used a CFW about 6-8 months ago using 3.55 TB I believe, it could of been kmeaw. In the XBM, it shows 3.55 software version.

I've been reading about Rogero, and it claims, and I quote "•The CFW can be installed fine from XMB Update over any OFW3.55/CFW3.55/CFW4.21/CFW4.30". It seems this is the all around bettter of the newer CFW from what I have been reading but, between the different ones they are pretty balanced.

( Tortuga Cove • View topic - Rogero CEX-4.30 v2.05 with Original "*Install Package Files" and Updated [app_home] IPF -> ToolBox (No more Restart) )

Does doing a hardware downgrade to 3.55 effect anything different from a system that is running native 3.55 ? Can I just overwrite the CFW on my PS3 and have any issues ? Is there any thing I should know about before attempting to flash a new CFW or should I not even worry here ?

I am really just trying to avoid a brick, as that has happened to me once before... I have been kind of out of it for a while and just want to update my PS3...

Thank you for any advice you can give here. !!!

My ps3 was downgraded.. I've had no problems with the recent cfw's. I've tried all the Rebugs and Rogeros revisions and Rogero is the way to go, imo. All the kinks have been ironed out... Just plop 2.05 on a usb as usual and update through xmb.
