Can I install a Game Update up to a certain version [Gran Turismo 5 to 1.05] ?

From what i understand the game 1.05 update allows me to copy my saved game over to another console.
However if I upgrade to 1.10 it requires 3.60+ FW.

My Objective:
I have the original game and a OFW console i want to transfer to the save game to.
( I already tried SFO editors )

You can update to any version that wants max. 3.55 firmware.

enable the net through your PS3 network settings and start the game. The game will say a newer version is available, do you want to update? You select yes. It will then say there are a number of updates to install and then proceed to install each, one after another. The first will be 1.05, 1.06, then 1.07, 1.08 etc until the current one.
1.09 was the last one playable on CFW but you might corrupt you save game going past 1.06. So, I'd wait for two to install and then select cancel. You'll be on 1.06 then.
It irons out all of the first version bugs and is not much different from the later ones.
