can i delete everything in the dev_hdd0/game/ folder?

after backing up a few games it seems that my hard drive is more full than it should be. i'm guessing that there is a lot of old game data that it likes to save for games that i don't play anymore. i have already ftp'd all my backups to my computer. so i just wanna delete everything and start over. unless there is a better way?

also is there any easy way to figure out what games are in the folders (BCUS98119)? i could match them to the numbers on the box for the games that have the original covers, but i'm too lazy for that.

To find out which games are which... go into the gamefolder/PS3_GAME/ICON0.PNG

there may be other pictures in the PS3_GAME folder which will also help you figure out which game it is.
