With so many version of BM available, if we backup games with BM1, will the games work if we switch to BM2 or Open Manager etc.
It will be a shame if we have to backup all the games again if a newer version BM becomes available.

the games will work but you may have to do some ftp'ing to keep them. I believe you have to uninstall BM1 to run BM2 and BM1 deletes all games when you remove it. So you would have to change the directory the games are stored in to keep them, then change them back. OM however can be installed side by side with BM, runs the same and auto detects all games installed through BM.
Oh...thanks farkk for clarifying.
In others words, we can have both BM and OM, but not BM1 and BM2. Is OM the same games compatibility as BM1?
I think you will get different opinions as its hit and miss with the hardware / software, OM1.13 and BM2 are pretty similar at the moment though. I believe Open Manager is the way forward though. Now the comunity has the source code the majority of improvements will come from there and Open manager is the only version that is open at the moment. OM is also updatable so no deleting files with every version.
