Can this be exploited...?
Can this be exploited...? –

Okay i literally can't sleep because this has been on my mind...
Perhaps it's possible to exploit the backup/transfer utility built into the playstation, this has it's advantages as it will work with all modern fi
Firmware...
What I mean by this is the data transfer utility that allows you to transfer your files from one ps3 to another via Ethernet... including encrypted files such as game saves..
If it were possible to reverse engineer this, could we effectively emulate this process via the use of a pc and perhaps request more than just the save game data and user profiles?
Perhaps we could make a jailbreak ps3 keep the files it is copying over instead of erasing them, which would effectively give us a clone...
Could this be done by spoofing packets that are pretending to be another ps3?
Another idea that may have been overlooked is Bluetooth, perhaps we could spoof a controller... If that were possible could that lead us to lv1 access, where does the controller call to?
Just some of my ideas... Sorry about the grammar and not making much sense, it's late and im in bed whilst writing this; maybe it'll just be a dream

I dont think its possible to get anywhwere with this. As pointed out before saves are not encryped and can be edited quite simply with a few tools. As for account transfurs the xresgistry.sys isnt encryped either, everything is in plaintext, hence you are warned on forums to remove personal and identifying data from it. (it seems quite silly for a psn password and the likes to be stored in plaintext) nothing system critical wise is transfured. nothing firmware anyways.
Spoofing somthing over BT, I dont know? Sure its hardware level possibly lv1 but its not there on hard power on like the Jig or JB Dongle.

This is kind of pointless. If you just wanted to copy everything from one PS3 to the other, then you could use Comgenie's or any other file manager to do that... AND you could copy the flash while you were at it.
