Hi ,

I might install a CFW on a newly buyed european PS3 slim 320GB i have not buyed this PS3 yet but been preparing some apps and stuff rdy to be installed.

My question to you guys is could you please take the time to look at this setup and tell me what you think of it i have no expierience at all all i know is what i have read so far so if you guys could make some sugestions (as in this should be removed or that is useless or not working) i would very much appreciate it

I also have a permission fix app would this one be needed ? And i also read about some payload thingy i think its also an app unless im awfully mistaken , would that be of any use if yes can someone link it pls?

Also i was wondering if i have to change any of the file names some are really messed up and does it matter if it has spaces or not like that 1 in my list since i only saw 1 file using spaces all others use underscores.

Some of these might even not be suitable for kmeaw 3.55 CFW because on some files i did not find detailed information so they might be for 3.42CFW or even bugged or older versions so maybe someone could also post me some links with the newest/best working versions.

I was also wondering if the files need to be installed in a certain order to prevent errors or something else.

The reason i started this thread is because i wanted to make sure i dont brick a newly bought ps3 just because i didnt inform myself enough i can imagine some programs might be buggy or dangerous to use , or can result in conflicts with other software. To make a long story short if theres something i need to know or need to be careful of i would appreciate it ALOT if you would point it out to me.

PS: The only reason i included history wiper is in case you need to download game patches via PSN nothing more nothing less , i have a 3.56 OFW PS3 aswell this way im keeping both of my consoles safe . (in case it is an absolute must to login to PSN for game updates than what is the easiest way to do it?)

For those taking their time to read/reply i appreciate it ! I'm buying the PS3 as soon as i got enough feedback.


EDIT:Just out of curiosity (or however the **** u write that :/) would it be possible to transfer save data from my 3.56OFW to 3.55CFW ?

EDIT 2: Please make sure that if you are not sure about something you know to mention it (example: blahblahblah (not sure about this)).
Also i would like to have facts and personal preferences to be clearly mentioned as in :

-that version is better because it has less bugs or supports more. (Assuming you know about different CFW this would be a fact)
-I like version X more because it looks nice and i have a **** screensaver on it (Clearly personal preference)

The apps in the quote are what you need/want, I bolded BDEMU.pkg because it's an absolute must have with latest Multiman and that should be the only manager you'll need. Install them in any order you want, but kmeaw 3.55 comes first

Change file name if you must for your own sanity, otherwise they're fine. 3.55 cfw can run unsigned code but you should only get an app that says for 3.55 fw. If you're not sure of any app then redownload it from a more reputable source.

You can copy savedata to a usb stick for later retrieval but from my experience it can only be done so on the same console; and some games DO NOT allow save data copying for god knows what the fuk their reason is.

The games that dont let you copy the save data the normal way, like heavy rain for example, you can use multiman file manager to do this, when your at that step when transfering save files, come back for an explanation, tho it has been pposted many times as to how to work around the issue

Thanks alot for the quick reply could you link me with the latest bdmenu.pkg ? and in case you have spare time for it could you note to me wich ones you would redownload because they look fishy

Also : do you think installing to much pkg would cause trouble or slowdown because to be honest i dont know like 30% of those pkg i included (because of their lame names). So feel free to tell me delete those or whatever

But i rlly need some sleep now its ****in 9:30 in the morning and havnt slept yet lol

doesn't matter if you install them all since they are only ran separately when you want to. However pl3_fix is not needed with kmeaw. Lv2.pkg is optional for when some apps need the additional syscalls it provide, otherwise BDEMU is all you need for multiman on kmeaw.

ok i think i have about everything i need except could someone pls help me with getting the latest version of mednafen for kmeaw 3.55 the revisions etc confuse me wouldnt want to install bad version

i also updated my applist (above this post) and can someone tell me what games i would actually be able to play like GB , GBA , GBC , DS , super nintendo etc etc (im hoping for these atleast )

You serious ? lmao instead of making a 3.55 category and a 3.41 they post eerything in same area and sometimes it lacks info , as i said im new to this how could i keep 3.42 stuff apart from 3.55 if its not in name or post on some apps ... and theres atleast 2 - 3 threads of mednafen thing also some wip bs thing thats saying 3.42 fw at the back but then ppl still claim it works for 3.55 how the hell should i know what the deal is oly thing i try to dio its look at posting date etc if ts 2011 and that stuff put thats not rlly reliable and most ppl just assume you know what it is some apps they dont even post what it does just some bug fixes you see like edited this txt deleted that wich still leaves noobs in the dark
